El
trabajo de Jaap de Ruig (Holanda, 1957) ha sido mostrado en
ARTE-tv (emitido en 34 paises), en el Film and Videofestival
de Kassel (Alemania), y en 'Cine y casi cine' en el Museo
Reina Sofía de Madrid. En noviembre de 2002 recibió
el Premio New Art 2002 en Barcelona. Su vídeo "10
fingers" forma parte de la colección del MACBA.
Bajo el lema SCREENING EUROPA, Jaap de Ruig está viajando
por Europa desde octubre de 2003 hasta octubre de 2004. Realiza
vídeoshows de una sola noche en cerca de 25 ciudades
del Este y el Oeste. Durante el viaje también está
realizando nuevas películas.

has been shown on ARTE-tv (broadcasted in 34 countries), at
the Film- and Videofestival of Kassel (Germany), and in 'Cine
y casi cine' at the Museum Reina Sofia in Madrid. In November
2002 he was awarded the Premio New Art 2002 in Barcelona.
His tape '10 fingers' has become part of the collection of
the MACBA.
Under the title SCREENING EUROPE Jaap de Ruig is travelling
Europe from October 2003 until October 2004. He gives one-night-videoshows
in about 25 places in East and West. During the trip he is
shooting new films as well.
